Fudge offers various methods of tracking wounds, with many options. It is impossible to be 100% accurate when simulating damage to such an intricate mechanism as a living being. This is true even for detailed simulations for an abstract role-playing game, it is hard to get close to reality at all.
Consequently, many GMs don’t try to be very accurate, and want a simple system that works and lets the story flow. Others want as much accuracy as they can get.
Fudge presents a simple freeform system that works, and suggests some options to make it more mechanical, and encourages each GM to add as much detail as she is happy with.
